Herrera's Lizard
Native to modern NW Argentina, and the Late Triassic.
Estimated weight considered from 550 to 660 pounds, or 250 to 300 kilograms.
It's length is estimated at 9 to 15 feet in length, or 3 to 5 meters.
It was first discovered in the Valley of the Moon in 1961.
Specific classification is sketchy due to it's early appearance,
and is widely accepted as one of the first Dinosaurs to have lived.
Only one species [ ischigualastensis ] belongs to this genus. Which is named after the native name of the Valley of the Moon, Ischigualasto.
